Not only is it important that we raise the best natural beef possible at Stedem Cattle Co.|Pasture to Plate Co. but I also strive to keep our family recipes natural meaning free of chemical ingredients such as fake sugars, food dyes, petroleum based preservatives and flavorings. Real food simply tastes better! Here is my take on Beef & Broccoli.
Beef & Broccoli
2 lbs Pasture to Plate Co. beef. I suggest flank steak or flat iron steak. (On this particular day I used a KC strip and a ribeye that were mismatched meats in my freezer so really anything goes).
1/2 cup coconut amino's
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/3 cup raw honey
1 tablespoon fresh garlic minced
1/2 tablespoon fresh grated ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Broccoli - 2 crowns (steamed)
Rice, cauliflower rice or quinoa (cook per instructions)
In the crockpot place beef (frozen or thawed), mix sauce ingredients and pour over meat. Cook in crockpot on low for 6 hours. Once meat is cooked, shred and return to crockpot. Steam broccoli. Serve broccoli, beef and sauce over cauliflower rice, rice or quinoa.
