1/4 Beef Deposit
Tight on space, but still want the best variety, our quarter beef is the choice for you. Best for couples or individuals. The quarter beef order may fit in most traditional refrigerator/freezer combo units, but we still recommend having a small chest or upright freezer available as it may take up to 5 cubic feet of space.
Our quarter beef ranges from 100-150 pounds of finished beef product. If you are looking for the very best variety of cuts and are tight on space this option is for you. Since many do not produce 4 per animal, these cuts may vary in your quarter order. We do our best to split these single items between our four quarters so all receive the same pounds of meat. Each animal differs, but our efforts to raise the best animal possible ensures you are going to get the best cuts possible.
The cuts usually consists of 20-25% steaks, 25-35% roasts, stew meat and short ribs, and 40-50% ground beef. That means you can get premium cuts such as Filet Mignon and T-Bones for as low as $7.00 a pound.
Your final 1/4 beef price is figured on hanging weight which is not determined until the beef is processed. Based on our last 20 hanging weights a 1/4 beef will be aprox. $800 with $120 in processing. Your beef will be processed at Sprague Locker in Brookfield or Chillicothe Meat Locker in Chillicothe depending on our appointment avaialbility. All meat is custom processed and packed per your specifications and then double layer wrapped for longevity in your freezer. If this is your first time doing this no worries, our butchers are great about walking you through and making sure you have the best cuts. You are responsible for picking up your beef once beef is processed (unless previously discussed). Balance is due upon completion of your order. Deposits are non-refundable.
We don't process 1/4 beef orders until they are placed. After placing your 1/4 beef order we will call you from Pasture to Plate Co. to discuss any preference options that may be available for processing your order and to explain the expected timeline for delivery of your order. When ordering please provide your email address so that we may send you a contract.
Our beef shares are black angus, no hormones used, antibiotic free, grain finished and 21 day dry aged.
