Cast Iron/Oven Finished Sirloin Steak


  • 1 Pasture to Plate Co. top sirloin steak at room temperature

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 3 tablespoons high-heat cooking oil


Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Preheat cast-iron on stove over medium-high heat.

Pat dry room temperature sirloin on both sides and season generously with salt and pepper to taste.

Drizzle oil into cast iron skillet. Add steak and cook for 30 seconds. Flip steak onto the other side and cook for 30 seconds. Repeat for 30 seconds on each side once more. A brown

crust should begin to develop. Repeat once more if necessary.

Place cast-iron with steak in 425 degree preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes based on desired doneness.

Remove from oven let set for 5 minutes.

This steak is perfect for steak salad or served with roasted vegetables.
